Fees for Comprehensive Evaluations

Fees for Psycho-educational Evaluations

Our fees include the initial parent interview, direct contact hours spent administering the psychological tests, conference meeting, and a comprehensive and detailed written report with practical and specific recommendations on how to help your child at home and at school.  If you are unsure about whether or not your child needs an evaluation, Dr. Brinson will provide you with a brief complimentary phone consultation. Although a private psycho-educational evaluation may seem expensive, it is actually one of the most important investments you can make in your child's education.

Fees cover the following:

  • Psychosocial interview prior to evaluation
  • Administration of evaluation measures (intellectual, processing, achievement and/or related measures)
  • Interviews with parents, child, and/or teacher(s) (if warranted)
  • Comprehensive psycho-educational report with test results, interpretation, and recommendations for home and school
  • In-office conference to discuss evaluation results

Terms of Payment

Fees are the sole responsibility of the child's family. We will provide an itemized receipt and/or will complete an insurance claim upon request. Fees may also be considered a flexible spending-appropriate medical expense. Parents, may wish to check with their employer for information regarding a flexible spending account (FSA).

The following costs are considered estimates for evaluation services. A deposit is required prior to the start of the first evaluation meeting/session. The remaining balance must be paid prior to the review and receipt of the evaluation report.

Paying for Services

PsychEd Solutions, P.A. accepts payment by check, cash or credit card. A return check fee for the amount of the check plus a return check charge of $45 will be applied to your account. If any payment required to be made is not made within 60 days of becoming due, interest will accrue on the unpaid amount from that date forward at the highest rate allowable by law and the patient will be obligated to pay all costs of collection, including attorney fees. Dr. Brinson typically requires that half of the fee be paid on the first day of testing and that the balance be paid upon receipt of the written report and conference session. For families experiencing financial hardships, options for convenient payment plans can be discussed.
